Double-Data-Rate Synchronous Dynamic Random Access Memory, also known as DDR SDRAM DDR RAM for short, is a type of very quick computer memory. DDR RAM is based on the same architecture with SDRAM, but using different clock signals to transfer data twice faster in the same amount of time. There are 3 types of  Double-Data-Rate Synchronous Dynamic Random Access Memory, DDR, DDR2, and DDR3.

• DDR version will be triggered slower than DDR2 and DDR3 versions.
• DDR uses more energy than DDR2, as well as DDR2 to DDR3.
• Data on DDR3 will be accessed more quickly than data on DDR2, as well as with the DDR.
  
  

Superlative :

• DDR3 uses the least amount of power,DDR is the most wasteful of energy.
• DDR3 has the fastest data access speed,DDR has the slowest speed of data access.
